Sunday sermon
Today we went along to a school of life Sunday sermon, held in Conway hall, with Alain de Botton
Wisdom without doctrine, religion for atheists
It is a good way to start the year. I know it is a delayed start, but better late than never.
Alain de Botton kept us amused and engaged for just under an hour and the female choir Gaggle kept us in tune on the hymn at the end.
I love the sing along hymns at these sermons. My favourite by far was "True colours" sometime last year, but today's Jerusalem was a good choice. I looked at the lyrics in a new light whilst thinking of the film, chariots of fire.
