Reasons to be cheerful, part 2

My cute dressing table mirror, the hub of everything, bought on eBay & now where (amongst other things) travel monkey sits, when he isn't traveling.

Reasons to be cheerful, part 1

Things that make me happy, number 1 (these are in no particular order).

My tapestry, doing this makes me happy.
Maybe because it keeps me occupied and lets part my mind roam free while keeping some of it focused on the repetitive and satisfying act of stitching & producing something pretty.

It is not quite finished and the biggest question now is what do I do with it when it is?

Not that well done, but a clever idea.

Behind the scenes

It shouldn't be like this, these photos make the spaces seem somehow, poignant, melancholy and meaningful, however in real life they are anything but.

Maison & Objet, cardboard glories

Gorgeous production & engineering values - clever & amusing things....

Random things from MAISON & OBJET

Random snaps of assorted lovely things.

The Astier de Ville stand was rather lovely......

Then there were these clever boxes of light, like oversized matchboxes, cow heads covered in crochet, 3d' Edinburgh castles in frames, vintage hankies embroidered with lovely messages........I could go on & on at the wide & varied ideas on show.
